NYC VETERANS CERTIFICATION
The New York City Department of Veterans’ Services has partnered with the New York City Department of Small Business Services to urge veteran-owned small businesses in the NYC area to become certified with the City! If you are a veteran small business owner in the greater New York City area, you owe it to yourself, your community, and your fellow veterans to certify your business with the City.
Your business must have a real and substantial presence in the geographic market of New York City, which includes the five boroughs of New York City and the following counties: Nassau, Putnam, Rockland, Suffolk, and Westchester in New York, and Bergen, Hudson, and Passaic in New Jersey..
More than 9,000 businesses currently benefit from New York City Certification, and the City is committed to:
· Award $25 billion in City contracts to M/WBEs by the end of Fiscal Year 2025
· Award 30 percent of the value of City contracts to M/WBEs by the end of Fiscal Year 2021
75% of businesses who have been certified have won contracts.
Getting your business certified with the City of New York is the key to winning contracts from public and private organizations.
We urge you to spread this message along to your fellow veteran entrepreneurs!
