Elected President in November 2021, Robert is a Marine Corps Veteran and current Financial Advisor with Northwestern Mutual, WealthManagement Company. He develops tax efficient compensation packages for employees and executives assisting in the navigation of the pension system and creating efficient strategies to redeploy capital to enhance financial plans.   Besides being the President of NYVOBA, he is also a Director and Chapter Captain for Team RWB Long Island, Vice President of Project9Line and Founder of Vets’ Lives Matter. 

Robert enlisted into the Marine Corps on September 2005 and trained in a number of areas, Basic Supply Administration Course, Combat Marksman Coaches Course, Breachers Course, Designated Marksman Course, Financial Management Resource Analyst Course and the Marine Corps Martial Arts Instructor Course, after which, he was assigned to the Weapons Training Battalion in Quantico, VA.  Robert was deployed to Haditha, Haqlaniyah, and Bani Dahir Iraq Mobile Movement Team - 1 in the Al Anbar Province as well as Camp Kinser, Okinawa, Japan as a 3D MLG Comptroller with the Inspector General’s Office and Travel Operations Chief.  

 

Retired as a Commander (O-5) after serving 27 years in the military, 8 years US Army and 19 US Navy, Dave currently works for the Riverhead Central School District as the Senior Naval Science Instructor (SNSI) for the NJROTC Program: (https://sites.google.com/view/riverheadnjrotc/home) 

Throughout his 27 years in the military, Dave was assigned and functioned as an Intelligence Officer HUMINT / CI (Restricted Line) for both the Army and the Navy serving CONUS and OUTCONUS including Europe and the Middle East. 

As SECRETARY for NYVOBA, Dave handles all aspects associated with the position as well as preparing the Association for expansion to Regional Chapters to include all of New York State. 

Having previously worked for SUNY Farmingdale as the Veterans Business Advisor, he is a Certified New York State Business Advisor leveraging his experience for the advancement of the membership with regard to all business-related topics. 

Nick is a Certified Public Accountant with more than 15 years experience as a Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operations Officer, with extensive experience in general and financial management; corporate finance and formation; turnarounds and strategic planning.

 

Nick served honorably in the United States Navy with numerous Western Pacific deployments aboard the USS Alamo and other Naval units, now serving as TREASURER for NYVOBA.

Nick is Certified by the VA and NYS  as a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Mineola, NY..

The first President of NYVOBA from July 2018 until November 2019, a former Navy SEAL from SEAL Team 2 - Special Warfare Division.

He currently serves in an advisory role to the new President and Board of Directors for NYVOBA, while also serving on the Board of Trustees for the LT Michael P. Murphy Navy SEAL Museum located in West Sayville, NY.

President from November 2019 - November 2021, Mark is a the owner of Stars and Stripes Clothing Co NY &  also the owner of Stars and Stripes Naughty Night.

Mark served with the United States Navy from September 2012 - September 2017 as an Air Traffic Controller stationed in Key West, Fl.

Currently, Mark is planning to implement the Albany Chapter of NYVOBA while scaling his businesses online and taking advantage of the future of e-commerce.
